3. Disproven Birth Date: 1853, Canada. 292 This birth year was referenced by his age of 26 on the 1880 US Census. It was also referenced by his age of 52 on the 1905 Wisconsin State Census. It was also referenced by his age of 57 on the 1910 US Census. However, this date is disproven by the fact that he appeared on the 1851 Canadian Census which means he could not have been born in either 1852 or 1853.

Late last June, Miss Hanson fainted in the Galesville post office, evidently overcome by the heat, and in the fall fractured a leg. She was given hospital care and recovered from that mishap but her health failed rapidly during the last few months.
Services were conducted at the Hamre funeral home by the Rev. L. S. J. Reque and burial was at Trempealeau, her former home. Pallbearers were Theodore Scarseth, Vilas Kellman, F. A. Kellman, J. A. Hammer, Leonard Klandrud, and R. A. Smith.
Miss Hanson was born in Norway February 8, 1861. She came to America in early life and lived for many years at Trempealeau. She moved to Galesville several years ago to keep house for a brother, Hans, who preceded her in death, as did a brother Louis of Trempealeau. The only immediate relative left in this vicinity is a nephew.

Birth Mar 21 1897
Birth Record ID: 2653728
Last Name: Hanson
First Name: Martha L
County: Trempealeau
Reel: 285
Record: 2348
Place of Death: Marinuka Manor Nursing Home, Galesville, Wisconsin
NOTE - Its interesting that this index record indicates that the birth was that of a twin. It is not known if there ever was another sibling so perhaps it died as an infant or perhaps the index record was in error.
NOTE - For some reason, Anne's name appears on this death record as Nancy. It is not known why or if this was a mistake on the transcription of the original records. Perhaps her middle name was Nancy and she went by that in her latter years but there are no other documents to indicate that she ever used that name. And assuming that this is indeed Anne Coyle (the document indicates that her spouse was Patrick Drugan), then the document is also misleading in that it shows her parents as Andrew and Mary Drugan when in fact these would be the parents of her spouse, Patrick Drugan.
