NOTE - Previous residential locations of 1935 were given as Appleton, Winnebago County, Wisconsin for Edna and daughter, Betty. Carl was in Duluth, MN probably attending college. Strangely, the oldest daughter was in the same location of Milwaukee. I suspect that the parents were already divorced and the children might have been split between the father and mother. Their total income in 1939 does not appear to have been sufficient to support themselves.

Edna married Carl Henry Achtenhagen, son of Charles Frederich Achtenhagen and Anna Sibones Nehls, on 26 August 1914 in Mayville, WI.^{1 2} The marriage ended in divorce. (Carl Henry Achtenhagen was born on 7 April 1890 in Mayville, WI,^{2 9 10 11 12} died on 11 November 1964 in Tustin, WI ^{11 12 13} and was buried after 11 November 1964 in Wolf River Cemetery, Orihula, WI ¹².)
