General Notes:

"He shared the Austun farm with his brother Hans Syversen about 1820. Lars Syversen was an authorized musician. Lars and Daniel Hoffas received a license in 1815 from City Musician Fredrik Christian Groth in Christiana (now Oslo), which earned them the right to play at weddings and other parties in Vinger Parish (Eidskog belonged to Vinger Parish at the time).
It was Lars who received the most commitments from the buying of the land on Almenninga in 1836. Lars was a big farmer at Vestmarka. He owned Tangen, Klanderud, Ostplassen, Nestun / Nystun on Rambol and Nystun Almenninga.
"I (signed Lars) Lars Syversen Almindingen, do with this, testify, given my daughter Marthe Larsdatter Almindingen, my part of Almindingen, as both her mother's and father's inherit, against that, as good as she can, take care of me as long as I live, and after my death give me a Christian burial. My other belongings I will keep as long as I live, and after, they will belong to the same daughter."
In 1841, the Tangen farm was sold on auction to executive officer Lie, who transferred the farm to Hans Larsen Almenningen in 1843. In 1847, Lars Syversen Almenningen Tangen, bought this farm, and in 1853 he gave it to his son-in-law, Syver Hansen.
I have been told that, when one of the owners of Tangen could no longer keep it, he moved to a home in Djupdalsmyra. It is possible that this person is one of Ole Eriksen's children.
When this family emigrated to the USA in 1867, the farm was sold at auction to Hakon Syversen Oiseth for 900 speciedaler (an old currency). The heir / heiress after Hakon Oiseth, sold Tangen for 700 Kroner to Syver Hakonsen Almenningen in 1887.
Today, Arne Vangen is living in Nystun. He is a farmer and has cows. He has no children, so it is likely that the farm will come into the hands of someone who is not related to the family when he dies.
On Nestun and Nystun, Rambol, no one is living permanently." ------------------------------------------------
