bullet  Marriage Notes:

Their first daughter, Blossom, was born about 4 months after Arthur and Leila were married. For whatever reason, they decided to adopt her out to Arthur's sister, Ella Agnes Drugan, who had been married to Theodore Schmitz for about 13 years.

I do not have the date of adoption nor do I know if Blossom was adopted out almost immediately or if it happened several years later. Blossom was born in 1914 and by the time she was 6 years old, the 1920 census shows her living with Theodore and Ella Schmitz under the name of Blossom E. Schmitz.
----------------------------------------------

Arthur and Lela have not yet been found in the 1930 and 1940 US Census. Their second daughter, Margery, was found living with Arthur's sister, Ella Schimtz in 1930 in Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Robert Westphal reports that Margery was also adopted by her aunt, Ella Agnes Drugan who was married to Theodore Schmitz.

After her divorce from Arthur Drugan, Leila was remarried to Albert Langberg in 1922.
