William Haslam, Pioneer, Passes--Resident of Winchester, Lived in Valley for Past Fifty-five Years

William J. Haslam, 89, resident of this area for the past 55 years, passed away at his Winchester home, Thursday night of last week. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning in Harford Funeral Home.

Interment was in the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery where Mrs. Haslam was buried in 1917.

Services were conducted by the Rev. A. L. Bear of the Winchester Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Richard and Ernest Young, Ben McMurray, Pat and Jack Haslam, and Welton Replogle.

He is survived by 12 children, a large number of grand-children and two sisters and one brother.

The children are Mrs. Ruby Replogle and Mrs. Maude Young of Hemet, John Haslam of San Jacinto, Byron Haslam and Mrs. Henry Rennie of Santa Barbara, James and Guy Haslam of Blythe, Mrs. Charles Isle of Carpenteria, Mrs. William Buster of Lynwood, Mrs. Carl Krauchi and Mrs. Beulah Eastman of Santa Ana, and Roy Haslam of Buena Park. Two other children preceded their father in death.

Mrs. Milton Thomas of Venice and Mrs. Lucinda Russell of Los Angeles are sisters of the late Mr. Haslam and Alonzo Haslam of Winchester is a brother.
