Eliza MacNabee ^{1 3 4}

  General Notes:

In an email dated 15 Dec 2015, researcher Jo Ann Lee indicated that Eliza's maiden name was McNabnee. She was divorced from Hornby/Hornbee in 1891 before the courts in Porter County, Indiana.

Jo Ann further added that Eliza Hornby Lightfoot is not buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, Ohio. The Maple Grove Cemetery said that they have no record for that name. Eliza Hornby's death date or burial is unknown. Just prior to her death, in November 1904 she was in Warsaw, Indiana. The records state she is in poor health and has no income. She was appealing the decision of rejection of the continuation of Henry's pension. It was denied.

Following the death of Henry Lightfoot, his 2nd wife, Eliza Hornby, filed for a pension. Eliza Hornby-Lightfoot was originally thought to be buried in one of the plots that Henry bought. He bought several - all next to each other but the cemetery indicates that they have no record of a burial for Eliza.

In Nov 2010, Jo Ann Lee added the following:
Eliza's death and place of death is unknown at this time. On 24 January 1901 she was admitted to the County Home in Warsaw, Indiana. Listed as a pauper. Age: 65. She was discharged on 29 Aug 1903. No further record was found after this date.

Lightfoot was born on 2 September 1826 in Ripley Township, Holmes County, OH,^{3 4 6 7 8 9} died on 5 July 1900 in Findlay, OH ^{4 9} and was buried on 7 July 1900 in Findlay, OH ^{4 9}.). The cause of his death was Enteritis.

After the death of his 1st wife, Henry was remarried to Eliza MacNabee Hornby on 27 August 1895 in Hancock County, Ohio. She is a divorcee from Valparaiso, Indiana.
