  General Notes:

Alvin was not listed with his parents on the 1900 US Census when he would have been about 9 years old at the time and was probably just missed by the enumerator. He later appears with them for the 1905 Wisconsin State Census. Note however that Bertha stated that she had only 4 children total instead of 6. Supposedly the oldest son, Albert, died as an infant. Bertha also stated that all 4 of her 4 children were alive instead of expected 5 out of 6. This might raise concerns over the true parentage of Alvin who may have only been added or adopted by the Schultz family sometime after the 1900 US Census.
