The handwriting on the marriage register is difficult to read and her surname is indexed as "McChutic" but another image of the register is somewhat clearer and the surname appears to be "McClintic". A check with the 1880 US Census shows her and her parents living in Eaton, Eaton County, Michigan under the surname of "McClintic" as well as other McClintic families in the area.
