³ Janet Snead Pitts, age 102, of Goochland, Va., died Friday, December 27, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Pitts; and two sons, Martin L. Jr. and Charles S. Pitts. Survived by one daughter, Elsie P. Gathright; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was a retired Postmaster of Elk Hill, Va., for 32 years. Remains rest at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va., where the family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., and where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Goochland and Fife Rescue Squads.
