Florence would seem to have been an adopted daughter from a previous marriage of Angeline Kisner to the man named Davis, according to the 1910 US Census but there are no records of such a birth as Florence Davis and no records of such a previous marriage for the mother, Angeline, although the marriage license with John W. Linderman indicates her surname to be Davis. Normally you'd expect the census record to indicate "adopted daughter" but that was not always followed by the enumerator.
Florence's marriage and death records show her full name as Florence Dell Davis show it would seem that the use of the name of Linderman on the 1910 US Census did not reflect an official adoption.
