  General Notes:

Many researcher have incorrectly indicated this person as a male instead of a female. Apparently the book, Genealogy of the Houser, Rhorer, Dillman, Hoover Families, incorrectly indicates Willard to be a son which is where the mistake originates. The 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 US Census records all show Willard as a female instead of a male. The obituary for Willard describes her as "Miss Willard Gougar Mountjoy".

Her middle name was Gougar instead of Cougar as incorrectly reported by many researchers. It probably was a family surname memorialization most likely from the mother's side of the family (Lynd).
