Jerome married Olive Jane Worthington about 1874. (Olive Jane Worthington was born about 1851 and died on 21 December 1940.)

I have my doubts about this particular marriage between Jerome Ballinger and Margaret Houser. There is a conflict of dates in that the son, Jasper Ballinger, was born 29 August 1875. Yet, she was supposed to have been married to Henry Clay Mountjoy from 1865 until his death in 1884. Both Henry and Margaret appear in the census together with a daughter, Inez Mountjoy, being born in 1876. I also find it odd that if Jerome Ballinger and Margaret Houser were first married in about 1864, their first child was not born until nearly 11 years later in 1875. Either the marriage is to the wrong person or the birth year of Jasper Ballinger should be about 1865 instead of 1875.
