Howard Linville, 64, of Williamstown, died Friday, Apr. 2, 2004, at Camden -Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.

He was born in Grantsville, the son of the late Billie and Veta "Pete" Hathaway Linville. He was a 1959 graduate of Calhoun County High School. He retired from Smith Transfer and was employed by Marietta Industrial Enterprises, and was a member of the Teamsters Union and Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ, Marietta, Ohio.

Surviving are three daughters, Tonya Linville of Pennsboro, Lisa Swisher of Williamstown and Stephanie Kennedy of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., currently serving in Iraq; one son, John Linville of Millwood; twin brother, Hibbert Linville of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Isabelle Raines of Dunbar and Mae Stout of Mt. Zion; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Coolidge Linville and William L. (Dick) Linville.

Services were scheduled Wednesday, 2 PM, at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Roger Rush and John Rockhold III officiating, and burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was also scheduled one hour prior to services.
