Millard F. "Bud" Propst, 86, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away July 22, 2004 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville.

Born March 24, 1918 in Calhoun, he was a son of the late Wesley and Millie Stalnaker Propst. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II and was retired from the Cabot Corporation. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the Bee Creek Hunting Club.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Little Propst; two daughters, JoAnn Stevens of Grantsville and Mary Kay Wilson of Vienna; son, Mike Propst of Grantsville; sister, Mary Jean Vannoy of Parkersburg; 3 grandchildren, Carrie Propst, Zachary Propst and April Miller; 2 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Mikayla Miller; 3 nephews, Jim and Roger Propst of Grantsville and Ronnie Propst of Beckley.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and George Propst.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, July 26 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Rick Swearingen will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Sunday.
