• Her obituary was published in the Calhoun Chronicle in October 1998 in Grantsville, WV.

Elsie Wilson, 95, of Walker, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at The Willows, Parkersburg, following a long illness.

She was born in Calhoun, the daughter of the late Roy and Olive Price Witte. She was a Calhoun County school teacher and had served as a deputy in the Calhoun County circuit clerk's office and Calhoun County clerk's office. She was a member of Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church and Order of Easter Star, Grantsville.

Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Knotts of Walker and Martha Wolfe of Davis; two step-children, Rev. James L. Wilson of Vienna and Margie Hulen of Lake Wales, Florida; and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wilson; one son, Forrest Gail Wilson; and one daughter, Louis Reading.

Graveside services were held at Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville.
