Vivian M. Rex, age 77, of North Canton, OH, passed away Sunday evening at the home following an extended illness. Born in Canton on April 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late, Charles and Zella Hulit. She was a 1941 graduate of McKinley High School and a retired employee for the City of Canton. She was a member of the Jackson Christian Church and be sides her parents, was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Rex and two sisters, Betty Myers and Jane Summers. Survivors include her husband, George Rex of the home, to whom she had been married for 56 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jack Hilbert of North Canton and Lynn and Rick Forbes of Hartville, OH; her son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Wendy Rex of Florida; one grandson, Samuel Lane of North Canton; two step grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 P.M. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Luis Lacourt officiating. Calling hours at the funeral home on Wednesday 7-9 P.M. Her wishes were to be cremated following the services and her cremains will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Program.
