bullet  General Notes:

Her true biological birth surname seems to be either Hall or possibly Paul. If her mother was Euritha Belle Townsend, then she may have been remarried to John A. Markwith after giving birth to Minnie who then raised Minnie as a stepdaughter. Its unclear how she gets the surname of Hall as several records merely state that she was born "Markwith Hall" with the father being John A. Markwith.

On her own marriage application, her name was given as Miss Minnie M. Hall. She showed her father's name as J. A. Markwith but if he was only her stepfather, then the name of her true biological father remains a mystery.

On the marriage record for her oldest son, George W. Allison, Minnie's name was listed as Minnie Myrtle Paul. Another thought is that Hall and Paul sound very similar and this may have been a typographical error on the application.

On the marriage record for her daughter, Minnie's name was given as Minnie Hall.

On the marriage record for her youngest son, John H. Allison, Minnie's name was given as Minnie M. Hall.

Her true biological name would therefore seem to be Hall as it appears in the majority of records compared to the few records that show the name of Paul.

No record of her birth could be found under either the name of Paul or Hall.
-------------------------------

Following a divorce from John Larue Allison, Minnie was remarried to Ernest Roth in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Indiana on 28 May 1921. The only clue to this remarriage came from a close examination of the marriage application for her son, John H. Allison, upon which the actual applicant on behalf of John H. Allison was "Mrs. M. M. Roth". Records show her marriage application for Minnie M. Allison and Ernest F. Roth.
