Virginia I. Cross, 73, of Grantsville, died Saturday, Mar. 30, 2002, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center.
She was born in Grantsville, the daughter of the late Hansford and Stella M. Propst Sears. She was a homemaker and had attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. She had been employed in Cleveland, Ohio, until 1970, and was a former employee of B. F. Goodrich Co., Grantsville.
Surviving are two sisters, Wanda L. Carpenter and husband Dallas and Wilma G. Kerby, all of Grantsville; two aunts, Veda Morrison and Reva Smith, both of Parkersburg; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior B. Cross, and one niece, Joyce Ann Carpenter.
Services were scheduled Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Pastor William D. Johnson officiating, and burial in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville.
