Bertie Whipkey, 99, of Chardon, Ohio, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, in Orwell, Ohio.

She was born in Calhoun, the daughter of the late James and Susanna Smith Propst. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are one daughter, Geraldine Johnson of Chardon; one son, Richard Whipkey of Richmond, Ga.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Casper Whipkey; two sons; and two daughters.

Services were scheduled Tuesday, 2 PM, at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Robert Nicholas officiating, and burial in Nobe Cemetery. Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to services.
