3 MOUNT MORRIS - Cleo M. Zumdahl, 93, of Mount Morris died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, in Alpine Fireside Health Center, Rockford. Cleo was born July 31, 1911, in Mount Morris, the daughter of Burt and Edith Unger Stimax. She married Elmer H. Zumdahl Dec. 31, 1930, in Crown Point, Ind.; he died Feb. 25, 1992, after 62 years of marriage. Besides being a homemaker, she had a special interest in the nursing field and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. The family lived for a number of years in California and Washington. She was a graduate of Mount Morris High School, Class of 1930. Survivors include daughter, Shirley (Richard) Cook of Machesney Park; sons, Gary Zumdahl of Lumpoc, Calif., and Frederick (JoRene) Zumdahl of Ritzville, Wash.; grandchildren, Jayne (Jon) of Houston, Texas, Frederick Hans Zumdahl of Santa Barbara, Calif., Jennifer (Michael) Rennie of Beullton, Calif., Christine (Shawn) Frick of Everett, Wash., and Catherine (Steven) Braswell of Kent, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Kristen Zumdahl, Jason Zumsteg, Micaela and Kylie Lynn Frick, Halli Braswell, and Danielle, Katelyn and Heather Rennie. Also predeceased by sister, Josephine Rouse; granddaughter, Tina Zumdahl; and great-grandson, Jaydon Anthony Frick.
At Cleo's request, there will be no service. A family memorial service at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Morris. Arrangements completed by Finch Funeral Home
