  General Notes:

After her husband died in 1907, Hannah first went to live with her married son, John Wesley Brown Jr, and his family in Cherry Valley, Illinois. After that she went to live with her married daughter, Ada Evalina Brown, who was living with her husband, Frank Martin, in Floyd, Iowa. Hannah died in Floyd, Iowa in 1923 and was buried back in Cherry Valley, Illinois next to her husband.

• Her obituary was published in the Rockford Morning Sun on 20 February 1923 in Rockford, IL.

Mrs. Hannah Marian Packard Brown, a pioneer resident of this vicinity, died Saturday in Floyd, IA.

She was born July 30, 1835, in Avon, NY and when three years of age removed with her parents to Missouri where they lived for eight years and then came to Cherry Valley. In 1854 she married John Brown. Seven children were born to this union.

The body was brought here for burial in Cherry Valley cemetery, and a short funeral service was held at 10 o'clock this morning from the home of John Brown, Jr.
