   Another name for Ray was Roy Preston.

  General Notes:

There is a 1930 Census record for a Roy (not Ray) Preston in nearby Wakenda, Carroll County, Missouri but he was married to a Lola. He has 7 children with the oldest born in 1914. If the age is correct of Dorothy Preston, who is presumed to be the daughter born to Daisy Lightfoot, she would have been born about 1916 thus making is very unlikely that this Roy Preston and Ray Preston were the same person.

Ray married Daisy Lightfoot, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Lightfoot and Sarah Elizabeth Riffe, before 1910.¹ (Daisy Lightfoot was born in June 1890 in Carroll County, MO ^{2 3} and died between 1916 and 1920.)

  Marriage Notes:

Daisy probably died between 1916 and 1920. Neither she nor Ray Preston are found in the 1920 census. Daisy was not mentioned as one of the surviving daughters in her mother's obituary in 1929. A young girl named Dorothy Preston who was presumably their daughter was found living with Daisy's sister, Louie, who married Lewis N. Hahn in the 1920 census in Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa.
