bullet  Death Notes:

The death date and location are without any source citations and only referenced by a researcher who posted the info to FamilySearch.org. There is no reason to believe that John Holmes who was a farmer in Ohio and had a daughter born in 1851, suddenly travel to California only to die in 1853. However, the location specified of Amador County, California was heavily involved in the gold rush that started in 1849 so it may be possible that he went there with dreams of getting rich quick.
