Lucille Mitchell, 79, of North Branch, died Sept 22, 1986, at McLaren General Hospital, Flint.

She was born March 19, 1907 in Vestaburg, to Thomas and Elva (Long) Sabin. She married Lewis Mitchell on May 6, 1933, who preceded her in death in May of 1985.

Mrs. Mitchell graduated from Central Michigan University with a life certificate. Later she received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Central Michigan University and taught in North Branch area schools for 43 years, after coming to North Branch in 1927. She was a member of Genesee County Retired Teachers; life members and past matron of the Eastern Star North Branch Lodge 149. She was an active dedicated member of Suncrest Convalescent Hospital Auxilliary. Before moving to North Branch she lived most of her life in Alma.
