Ella E. Dunham, Kalamazoo, passed away November 15, 1999 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born February 1, 1905 at Elm Hall, MI, the daughter of Perl and Martha (Long) Sabin. She married Homer M. Dunham, and they resided most of their married life in Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by Homer; 3 brothers, Clifford, Irvin and Byron Sabin; 1 sister, Lola Lomax; 2 sons, Howard and John . She is survived by 1 son, Robert (Norma) and a daughter, Helen Russell; 2 daughters-in-law, Beatrice and Nancee; 1 brother, Paul (Hilma) Sabin; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1937 and a member of the Nautilus Club. She was a member of the Western Michigan University Dames Club and the Garden Club. At her request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, 1999 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev. Shelly Wisdom-Long officiating. Interment of cremains will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Alma at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements handled by the Avink Funeral Home, Cremation Society of Michigan, Schoolcraft.
