Monica married George Julius Sabin, son of Leo Sabin and Susan Ann Woodcock, on 28 April 1934 in Lansing, MI.1 (George Julius Sabin was born on 7 April 1914 in Lansing, MI,1 2 5 6 7 died on 12 November 1975 in Walton, MI 1 7 and was buried after 12 November 1975 in DeWitt, MI 7.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

There is a 1940 US Census record for the parents of George which lists a Marian A. Sabin as a daughter-in-law. I am unsure who could be the spouse of this Marian A. Sabin other than George. Perhaps Leo and Susan's son, George, had a 2nd wife other than Monica Ferson or perhaps Marian and Monica were the same person.

There is another possibility to explain the names of Marian A. Sabin and children that appear with the parents. No 1940 US Census record can be found showing the son George and his wife Monica living together. However, there is a census record showing a George Sabin as an inmate in the Michigan State Prison. If that actually was the son, George, then perhaps his wife and children went to live with his parents. But still, there is no record of George having married a woman named Marian. A close examination of the actual 1940 US Census record reveals that the handwriting is somewhat sloppy and that the name Marian can also be interpreted as Monica.

Thus, I believe that in 1940, George Julius Sabin was an inmate of the Michigan prison system and that his wife, Monica, and children were living with his parents.
