Genevieve Mae Ernsberger, 88, of Elkhart, passed away at 9:38 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Warsaw to Ernest and Dorothea (Longfellow) Lozier.

Her first husband, William A. Miller, preceded her in death. She married Donald Ray Ernsberger, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by five children, Victoria "Vicki" (Tom) Wainwright of Elkhart, Eric "Rick" (Beverly) Miller of Elkhart, Thomas "Tom" (Amy) Miller of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Rebecca "Becki" (Kirk Veer) Avery and Gary C. Ernsberger, both of Elkhart. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Sells, of Silver Lake; and a brother, Lawrence (Esther) Lozier, of Decatur, Mich.

Genevieve was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Tucker; a grandson, Phillip D. Taylor; a great-grandson, Phillip Tracey; and two brothers, Jim and Fred Lozier.

Genevieve was a 1941 graduate of Warsaw High School. She retired in 1988 from K. G. Gemeinhardt as a flute and piccolo assembler.

She was an avid collector and registered antiques dealer for many years.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, with services at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Walley Mills Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Lewis from Three Cross Ministries will officiate.

Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
