2 Emma L. Sabin, 95, of Haslett Road, Haslett, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Hospice of Lansing Residence in Lansing.
She was born Oct. 7, 1908, in Ithaca, the daughter of Elmer and Charlotte Daub White.
She married Cliffe Sabin on May 7, 1932, in St. Louis. Mrs. Sabin was a longtime resident of the Stanton area, formerly of Emerson Township in Gratiot County. She was a member of the former McBride Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Sabin was an avid Tiger baseball fan, sticking with them through thick and thin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliffe Sabin, in 1972; brother, Clarence White; two sisters, Daisy Soule and Pearl U. V. Yarnell; and a grandson and granddaughter. She is survived by two daughters, Elinor Braska of DeWitt, LaVonna "Bonnie" and Wayne Carey of Lansing; son, James O. and Sharon Sabin of Lansing; sister, Amy White of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grand-children and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan. Interment is in Elm Hall Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial considerations to the charity of one's choice.
