Worthy Wilson, 62 of Copen died in the Gassaway hospital Tuesday at noon. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Copen Methodist Church. Survived by his wife, Macel M. Wilson; two sons, Laco and James D. both of Tiffin, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Waldeck of Flower; one half-brother, Bert of Stumptown; one sister, Mrs. Audrey Burk, of Cedarville; four grandchildren.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Colpen Methodist Church with Reverend F. R. Armentrout officiating. Burial in the Copen Cemetery. The body will be removed from the funeral home to the church one hour before the service. Bartlett Funeral Home of Gassaway

Worthy married Macel Mella Utt, daughter of Robert Haden Utt and Viola Alberta Fast, on 9 February 1924. (Macel Mella Utt was born on 13 February 1900 in Pistol Fork, WV ^{1 2} and died on 4 March 1988 in Weston, WV.)
