• He appeared on the 1850 US Census in Adams, NY on 16 August 1850. 2 • He appeared on the 1860 US Census in Brownville, NY on 14 July 1860. 3 ![]() Francis married Huldah Fowler on 13 January 1856.1 (Huldah Fowler was born in 1827 in New York 2 3 and died after 16 December 1869.)

The 1850 census shows Francis and Huldah already living together and supposedly they did not get married until 1856. In addition, Huldah's age on the census was only 23 while Francis was already 45 which makes him about 22 years older and one wonders if this was the same Huldah. However, the 1860 census once again confirms that age disparity to be true. |
