4 Elizabeth Hooper Kefauver, 94, of Homewood at Crumland Farms, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 19, 1908, in Middletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Oliver and Emma Bussard Hooper.

Her husband of 67 years, Harold W. Kefauver, died July 2, 1996.

She was a member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ in Middletown where she also was a member of the choir and Christe de Fille Sunday school class and headed the altar guild for many years.

She was past president of the Frederick Women's Civic Club, the Rose Hill Garden Club and Middletown Valley Homemakers Club. She was a member and first president of the Homewood at Frederick Auxiliary and past regent of the Frederick chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a Pioneer Lady Lion of the Middletown Lions Club.

She is survived by a daughter, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Middletown. The Rev. Mark A. Wakefield will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from noon to 9 p.m. at the church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

Arrangements are by Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home in Middletown.
