Mrs. Pauline Grace Eigenbrode, 77, 6894 Crabapple Court,
Frederick, formerly of Falls Church, VA, died Saturday, Dec. 7 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Leonard G. Eigenbrode.

Born Aug. 7, 1914, in Middletown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Effie Wiles Shafer.

Mrs. Shafer was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Arlington, VA., and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown. She was a member of the DAR, AARP, and NARFE. Mrs. Eigenbrode was a retired employee of the Central Intelligence Agency, Langley, VA.

Surviving besides her husband are, four sisters, Mrs. Wilber
(Catherine) Shoemaker, Mrs. William (Irene) Eisentrout, and Mrs. Merle (Mary) Zeigler, all of Middletown, and Mrs. District (Louise "Tootsie" Tyeryar of Frederick; and four brothers, Earl G. Shafer of Alexandria, VA, and Albert U. Shafer, Glenn E. Shafer, and Charles J. Shafer, all of Middletown.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec 9, at the
Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Dec 10, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald L. Turley, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
