  Marriage Notes:

Some researchers will show a daughter, "Mary W. Shafer", born about 1919. I believe this is coming from the 1920 census in which the difficult handwriting for "Emory W. Shafer" is being interpreted as "Mary W. Shafer" by mistake. Those same researchers that are showing a Mary present in the 1920 census are not show an Emory as being present. The 1930 census clearly shows his name as Emory W. with a birth date in 1919.
