Kenneth Edward Wiles Sr. was a son of Elmer Sylvester and Mary Virginia Flook/Wiles. Kenneth "Dick" was a brick layer for 43 years; he had worked for Marshall Flook for 17 years prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Middletown Zion Lutheran Church and had served in the US Navy during WWII from 1944 thru 1946.

He was the father of the following children: Kenneth "Dicky" Edward Wiles Jr of Smithsburg, MD, and Roxanne Wiles/Hawes of Falling Waters, West Virginia.

Dick was raised on the Philip Edward & Elizabeth Remsburg/Flook farm, parents of his mother until after the death of his mother then stayed with his paternal grandparents Charles Courtney & Alta Summers/Wiles for a short time prior to joining the US Navy.
