• Her obituary was published in the Mansfield News on 19 April 1939 in Mansfield, OH. 4 Mrs. Elsie Mowry, 50, wife of Clayton C. Mowry, died at her home one mile northeast of Mifflin Tuesday after an illness of five weeks. Mrs. Mowry was born near Lucas August 28, 1888, and spent her entire life in Richland County. She was a member of the St. Michael's Lutheran Church.
The survivors include a son, Raymond of Mifflin; five daughters, Mrs. Burlyn Kahl, Donna, Mary Jean, Kathryn and Martha of Mifflin; three brothers, Alfred Culler of Mansfield; John Culler of Lucas and Herbert Culler of Ashland, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the St. Michaels Church in Mifflin at 2:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. C. B. A. Stacy officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
