 General Notes:
The surname of Joshua's second wife is elusive. It is not even known for sure if he did remarry or not because no record of the marriage has yet been found. Only the name of "Sussana" appears on the 1880 US Census as his wife and she was 20 years younger than he. When Joshua died in 1898, he was buried alongside of his first wife, Matilda who had died in 1872. When and where Susannah died is unknown.
There are the 1900 and 1910 US Census records showing who appears to be the widow, Susannah Hilliard. The 1900 record shows her living with the Edward and Gertrude Fuoltz family next door to Joshua's married son, Walter.

The 1910 US Census record may not be for the correct person because it has a few discrepancies in her details. It does show her as widowed but this record shows she had one child whereas the 1900 record indicated no children. The 1910 record also provides a birth year of about 1858 whereas the 1900 and 1880 records indicate a birth year of about 1854. And finally the 1910 record shows a birth location of Ohio whereas the 1880 and 1900 records show a birth location of Pennsylvania.
