• His obituary was published in the Unknown newspaper in 1953 in Silver City, NM.

Final rites for Clay Dannelley, 55, who was found dead at his home at Chloride and Gordon streets last Saturday, were held at 4p.m. Monday at Cox Mortuary. A coroner's jury had ruled that the deceased had died of a gunshot wound, self inflicted. Dannelley, a Kennecott Copper Corp. employee, had been a resident of this area for the past 43 years. He is survived by two Sons, Richard and Robert; Silver City; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Frost, Hurley; his mother, Mrs. M. L. Dannelley, Hurley; a brother Claude, Hurley; two sisters, Mrs. Willis Lacey, Bayard and Mrs. Mary Odell, Silver City. Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. Arthur E. Bomers of the Hurley Community Church. Interment was at the Silver City' Masonic cemetery with the Hurley Masonic lodge in charge.
