Mabel married Roy Powderly Roberts, son of Adolphus Frederick Roberts and Elmina Jane McCarger, on 17 December 1912 in Colorado Springs, CO.1 (Roy Powderly Roberts was born on 4 March 1887 in , Wabaunsee County, KS,1 3 4 5 6 died in January 1981 in Montrose, CO 6 and was buried in January 1981 in Montrose, CO 6.)

Marriage Notes:
Roy and his first wife, Mabel, were marred in Colorado in 1912 and traveled to China soon afterwards to join his brother, Raymond who was already there with his wife. Roy and Mabel had one son, Everett, who was born in China in 1916. In Jan 1919, Roy made passport applications for himself, his son, and his wife, Mabel, to return from China but in March 1919, his wife died of pneumonia and was cremated in Shanghai, China. Roy and son, Everett, returned home but by Jan 1920 both of them had made passport applications to return back to China. His second wife, Marie Seely, joined them and in 1923, a son, Frederick, was born in China but he died there at the age of 5 months. Roy and wife then returned home to Colorado and never again returned. They remained in Colorado for the remainder of their lives.
