He is survived by his children, Judith (Frank), John (Joan), James (Sandra), Timothy (Mitsuko), Vernon (Judy), Jack (Joyce), Jill (Jim), Rebecca (Timothy,Paul (Crystal) and Philip (Monica); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; and daughter, Laura Ann.
Pallbearers were Paul, Philip and Samuel,Timothy and Harvey and Jason.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
