  General Notes:

Lillie over-reported her age on the census reports usually by about 6 years or so which would be unusual for a woman during those times when they typically under-reported their age by a year or so. But she was consistent in stating that she was born in West Virginia instead of the location of the alleged birth record from Philadelphia which recorded her birth year as 1887.

If her actual birth year was in 1887 then it would make sense that she would over-report her age in order to bring it closer to her husband's age because he would have been just over 10 years older than she. Another possibility is that the birth record from Philadelphia was for the wrong person and that this Lilly McWilliams was indeed born in West Virginia around 1881 thus making her only 4 years older than her husband.
