The marriage license for Hiram Nelson Fast and Clara M. Carper is interesting for a couple of reasons. The first is that is shows Hiram preferred and was using only his middle name of Nelson at this time perhaps to distinguish himself from his father with the same name. In addition it states that Hiram was once previously married as was Clara.
