Following the death of his wife in 1926, Milo apparently lived with one child and then another through 1930 and 1940 according to the census records.
On 2 Apr 1930 he was enumerated as living at the home of his married son, Lester, and his family in Charlotte, Michigan. But 22 days later he was enumerated once again on 24 Apr 1930 about 10 miles northward living at the home of his married daughter and her family in Benton Township, Eaton, Michigan.
On 11 Apr 1940 he was enumerated as living at the home of his married son, Lester, and his second wife in Holt, Ingham County, Michigan. About 5 days later he was enumerated again on 16 Apr 1940 as the head of household and living with him was his ex-daughter-in-law, Katherine Gleason, and her son, Douglas.
It is impossible to tell if he actually was living at these places or perhaps just visiting when the enumerator for the census happened to stop by. Theoretically the enumerator is supposed to ensure that the names reflect only those living there on April 1st of the census year but that rule is sometime not understood nor followed.
