• Her obituary was published in the Unknown newspaper after 6 March 1906 in Richwood, OH.
7 Mrs. Margaret Phelps, aged 89 years, who resided with her son W. A. Phelps of west Ottawa street, died very suddenly last Monday morning about 5 o'clock. She had been sick since Friday but was not thought to be serious until pneumonia set in.
Her husband, Theodore Phelps, died in Richwood about four years ago since which time she had lived with her son. Six children are left, viz: Derastus Phelps of Richwood, Spencer Phelps of York, Dortha A. Rickman of Topeka, Kas., Sarab J. Cahill of Richwood and Keziah Moffett of Dayton.
The funeral was held at the late home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Owens officiating and the remains taken to York for burial. Mrs. Phelps was an old fashioned christian lady and was loved and respected by all who knew her.
