NOTE - This census of 1920 has some unique information on it concerning Daniel and his 2nd wife, Lucinda Spencer. Living with them is Lulu Pulling, a daughter of Lucinda's from a previous marriage. But as the census form continues onto the next page, there is another listing for "Elizabeth P. ---------" with a straight line in the area of where the surnames are usually written. The use of the straight line usually indicates that the surname is the same as the person previously listed, in this case, Lulu Pulling. But what is unique is that the age of this Elizabeth P. Pulling was only 2 years old and Daniel and Lucinda had already been married for about 6 years. So why would she be listed with a surname of Pulling? Both Daniel and Lucinda were both about 70 years old so it is doubtful that Elizabeth P. Pulling could somehow be their daughter.
The census form gives no relationship to Daniel and it further shows that the birth location of the father of Elizabeth P. Pulling was unknown.
The only reasons I can think of is that this Elizabeth P. Pulling might be from a relative of Lucinda and that they were taking care of her at the time. Or perhaps she might have been an adopted daughter of Daniel and Lucinda but even that would seem remote given the elderly age of Daniel and Lucinda.
