Fronica Egle ²

   Another name for Fronica was Veronica Egle.¹

  General Notes:

There are two different sets of parents listed for Fronica. Other names are Joseph and Magdalena (Roth) Gross from the Palatinate, Germany. From "Notes and Queries of Virginia Historical and Genealogical" page 156.

She was otherwise known as Frana or Veronica. Her family name is not known although it is thought to have been EGLI/EGLE, due to the fact that four or five of their children were christened by Rev. John Waldschmidt at the Muddy Creek Reformed Church. In attendance at three of these christenings as witnesses were MARX (Marcus) EGLI and his wife ELIZABETH. We know that the Egli or Egle family surname are descendants of the Italian "LONGOBARDS". Some if this family moved to France, but due to church persecutions, they moved to Zurich, Switzerland and became followers of the reformer "Huldreich Zwingli". Marx Egli then came to America and settled among the Bruners, with both families connected with the Muddy Creek Reformed Church.

Fronica married George Ulrich Bruner about 1745 in Cocalico Township, Lancaster, PA.¹ (George Ulrich Bruner was born on 22 February 1721/22 in Bassersdorf, Zurich, SWITZERLAND ¹ and died in 1799 in , Jessamine County, KY ².)
