David married Elizabeth Parilee Alsop, daughter of David O. Alsop and Mary Ellen Houser, on 11 August 1868 in , Logan County, IL.1 (Elizabeth Parilee Alsop was born on 28 May 1847 in Anderson County, KY 1 2 4 5 6 and died on 26 September 1923 in Atlanta, IL 1.)

Fannie Alsop..9..IL

NOTE - I am not exactly sure who Fannie Alsop was. Elizabeth did have a younger sister, Sarah Frances, who appears to have used the nickname Fannie during the 1870 census but she was listed as living at home with her parents. The census that shows a Fannie at home with her parents was done 2 days earlier than the census for Elizabeth and family. The census done at the home of her parents did show Fannie's age as 12 when it should have been 11 and this census shows her age as only 9. If they are the same person, then Fannie (Sarah Frances) was enumerated twice, each time with incorrect ages. It could also be possible that this Fannie living with Elizabeth was not her sister but rather some other Alsop relative.
