• Her obituary was published in the Frederick Post on 15 April 1957 in Frederick, MD.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Draper, 71, wife of Samuel Draper, near Garfield, Frederick County, died at her home Saturday noon. (Apr 13) Under the doctors care for some time her death was sudden.

Surviving besides her husband are the following children: Mrs. Evalyn Lewis, Smithsburg, Earl Draper, Thurmont, Zack Draper, Smithsburg, and the following children by a former marriage, Charles Alsop, Iowa; Thomas Alsop, Iowa, and James Alsop, Minnesota. One brother, Thomas Newman, Minnesota, survives along with 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
