NOTE - Were both Frances and Fanny still married in 1920? Fanny indicated she was widowed and living in Pasadena, California but there is another census record for a Frances M. Skeen living in Bakersfield, California. The age for this Frances matches and his occupation is identical to that reported on previous census records but strangely he was listed as single. I think that they were probably divorced or just living separately and this is a case of two different enumerator errors, i.e., listing Frances as single and listing Fanny as widowed. |
