General Notes:
His birth records indicate a given name of Franklin C. but when he appeared in the 1880 US Census at the age of 6, his name was given as Frank L. Eby, which is the name he consistently used throughout his life. This suggests the transcription and indexing of the county birth records are probably in error. ---------------------------------------------------------
