AN OPERATOR ARRESTED
The Lincoln Monitor contains the following bit of news: "Clarence Fuller, a young man and telephone operator at the junction of the Illinois Central and Terre Haute & Peoria Railroad, two miles beyond Decatur, was arrested and brought here by deputy Sheriff S. W. Clay, of Atlanta, yesterday, charged by Miss Rose Alsop, of Atlanta, of being the father of her child, now over a year old. He gave the bail in the sum of $600 for his appearance before the magistrate for trial on the 25th inst." The girl has a number of his letters written to her at different times, and couched in the most endearing terms. Fuller was raised in Atlanta, where his parents now reside.

The trial of Clarence Fuller, the telephone operator at the Illinois Central junction, two miles beyond Decatur, was held at Atlanta on Saturday afternoon, on a charge of bastardy, brought against him by Rose Alsop. She charged that he was the father of her child, now about 15 months of age. In addition to her statement, a number of letters were produced, written to her by Fuller, calling her his "little wife", "little queen", "little rosebud" and many other endearing names. He made no defense to the case, and did not even Try .... his own behalf. He was held in .... .... ..... to
